Welcome to NYC Points Acupuncture where commitment to our patients comes first.
We take pride in our dedicated, compassionate and on time service.
NYC Points will be reopening on a limited basis starting the week of June 1st.
Acupuncturists have been designated as essential workers with guidelines set by NYC. Our goal is to alleviate pain, and being unable to practice has been very difficult to say the least. Below are the new protocols that we will be implementing for everyone’s safety.
It is asked that you check yourself for any symptoms of COVID-19. This includes fever, dry cough, loss of taste, etc. The CDC has put down these guidelines: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html
Our staff will be tested on a weekly basis. If any of us shows signs or symptoms or a positive test we will isolate for 2 weeks and notify patients accordingly.
We have 3 treatment rooms. In order to properly sanitize and disinfect each room between patients will only be using 2 rooms on a rotating basis. This allows us time to air out each space between patients for both your safety and ours.
As always we use properly laundered and sanitized sheets that are changed and removed after each patient.
Prior to and During appointment
Please wear a mask or cloth face covering when entering our building. You will be required to wear a mask when entering our office. There will be a note on the door reminding you to check yourself for symptoms of COVID-19. We ask that if you have symptoms to not enter the office this is for your safety, the safety of our other patients, and the safety of our practitioners.
Once inside the office please either wash your hands or utilize the hand sanitizer by the door. We will be checking your temperature with a thermometer gun soon after entry.
You will be asked to sign a waiver regarding COVID-19.
Staff will be wearing freshly laundered or cleaned clothing and footwear for in-office use that will be worn only during the shift as well as proper protective gear such as masks and face shields. This is for your protection as well as ours.
It is standard practice for acupuncturists to disinfect and wash their hands before and after every patient contact. Our treatment rooms/bathrooms and waiting are are all equipped with hand sanitizer and soap.
If you forget a mask we will provide one.
Normally, we welcome your presence in the office space post-treatment, but due to social distancing parameters we kindly ask that you settle up and leave the waiting area. If you are feeling a little woozy or dizzy post treatment you are welcome to sit for a few to get your bearings, but please understand that during this time we really can’t have you using the space to catch up on personal business, etc. Please, reach out to us post-treatment to update us on how you are feeling.
If post-treatment you become ill and receive a positive test result for COVID-19, please contact us immediately so we can properly notify staff and patients.
Remember, we are all in this together.
All of us here at the NYC Points family are looking forward to seeing you again soon. Please reach out or book through our web site. We are here to answer any questions you may have.
